LENNON SAYS GREALISH DESERVES TO PLAY FOR BIGGER CLUB

Different reports from multiple sources are claiming that Manchester City are very close to agreeing a deal with Aston Villa for the transfer of attacking midfielder Jack Grealish. The England international midfielder has been finding himself under the spotlight for the last few months and has also been linked with a move to Manchester United in the past. However, while the Red Devils were truly interested in signing him some months ago, they were not willing to pay the £100 million fee that the Villans were demanding as his transfer fee, causing the ransfer to break down and the player then signed a new five-year deal afterward.

Now reports are claiming that Grealish is finally moving to Manchester but not to United, as Sky Sports claim that Pep Guardiola is very close to landing the midfielder and take him to the Etihad. Guardiola reportedly wants him to form a deadly midfield partnership with Belgium international star Kevin de Bruyne as the former Barcelona manager continues to try all attempts to win the UEFA Champions League title with the Cityzens – the only trophy he is yet to win at the club since his appointment on the summer of 2016.

Aston Villa have told City that it will cost them nothing less than the quoted £100 million to sign Grealish and have also maintained that they will not be willing to enter negotiations if the club from the blue half of Manchester are not willing to meet the demands.

Former Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon has revealed that he thinks that Grealish is ready to move to a bigger club and also tipped him to shine at City even though De Bruyne is the club’s current star player. If the move goes ahead, Grealish will be the most expensive English player of all time.
