With the way Tottenham Hotspur are going at the moment, they will end up having themselves a great season, according to their former player Aaron Lennon. Since their current manager Nuno Espirito Santo took over this summer, Spurs have been grinding out good results and they sit at the top of the English Premier League table after winning their first three games of the new Premier League season. Nuno Espirito has instilled a different mentality in the players and they are now playing with more resilience and zeal to win, more than they showed under their former manager José Mourinho before the Portuguese tactician was relieved of his duties before the end of last season.

Mourinho’s sacking came right before Spurs played their Cup final match against Manchester City, the eventual winners of the League Cup, and a lot of people were actually in agreement that Tottenham owner Daniel Levy should have been thoughtful enough to allow the former Chelsea and Manchester United manager to remain at the helm until at least after the final, with a lot of Spurs fans also believing that their Cup final defeat was because Mourinho was not around.

Spurs have been showing signs of bouncing back from that defeat and after winning their first three games of the season without conceding any goal so far, it’s looking like they’re going to indeed have a wonderful season. Lennon says that he believes that one of the biggest wins the London outfit had this summer was being able to keep star striker Harry Kane as he thinks that the England international forward will be a key player for them this season.

Lennon also added that if they can maintain the momentum they have built so far and focus on each game as it comes, they might silence a lot of haters at the end of the season.
